A packed lunch can be provided when they leave. We provide a caring environment. Special services include: healthcare, hygiene as well as laundry.

Three emergency rooms are also available for a short stay.

Short-term unit – to reorganize

Single- or double-occupancy rooms are available to accommodate 21 women at no charge for periods of 8 weeks maximum. In addition to taking care of basic needs—meals, hygiene, laundry— available services include someone to listen, professional help, guidance and support in the process of reorganizing.

Transition unit – getting your life back

For small financial contribution, 15 women can stay from three months to a year. In this program, a counsellor provides support to residents in taking on the process of becoming independent and reclaiming control over their lives.

Maison Yvonne-Maisonneuve – an end to homelessness

Fifteen furnished studio apartments are available at a reasonable rent on a more or less long-term basis to women 55 years and older who have stayed at Le Chaînon. Large common rooms promote social interaction. Comfort and security are provided 24 hours a day by a resource team.

Residents take part in activities held at Le Chaînon. They also benefit from professional support for medical and other appointments.
